Thousand years of love

More than a thousand years ago from the present time, Puyeoju is the Baek Jae Empire's princess. Unlike other princesses, she is active and skilled in the arts and in sports. Sinopsis:

She meets Frank while he's running from the gangsters who loaned him the money-- in the ladies bathroom. Thinking that he's a pervert, she reports him to the police. The ring fell out of Frank's pocket in the girl's bathroom and the policeman stuck it into Shan Mei's bag. He meets Shan Mei once more, this time on the road. He tries to get his ring back from her but she has no idea what he's talking about and she still thinks that he's a pervert. He doesn't get his ring, but he does drive her to the airport. When she reaches her destination, she meets her boyfriend and casually mentions "Xiao Bo," his best guy friend. Eventually, her boyfriend cannot take the guilt and admits to Shan Mei that he betrayed her and fell for Xiao Bo, who is actually a girl.
Shan Mei returns to Taiwan and has no place to go. She cannot go home because her mother said when she was leaving to China that if she went then she wouldn't be considered her child anymore. Her best friend was constantly nagging at her not to go and even said "don't come crying to me." Shan Mei decides to rent a place. Her neighbouring tenant just happens to be no one other than Frank.

Great Love Story! I watched the 80's Shen Diao Xia Lu series, but it was long time ago, and suddenly I had the chance to watch another version of it. Both of them are great love stories. However, on how both adaptations follow the story of Jin Yeungng's novel, that I don't know! One thing after I finished watching the 1998 series is that it gave me an impression that ancient serial movies are not just about fighting, power, and revenge. Even though those aspects are also essential that make great serial movies enjoyable to watch, I found something different in Legend of Condor Lovers 1998. It's not only about someone whose family was slattered to death, finally grows up and takes revenge or some people who wander around the world (jiang hu) to learn the best fighting skills, but a a story that focuses on the relationship between a teacher and her student who fall in love with one another; That love finally defeats the power of the fiercest fighting skill, the social tradition of unexplainable ancestor's custom, and the hypocrite of human beings. When sometimes bad guys can win over goodness, but love is always on top of evil.

A chi-chi private high school, which actively encourages cutthroat competition among the student body by, for instance, publicly displaying their exam score rankings, selects twenty elite members and organizes a boot camp of sorts, to prepare for an international student exchange event. To their chagrin, the students, including rebellious heroine Ina (the singer Nam Gyu-ri), her timid best buddette Myong-hyo (Son Yeo-eun) and her wannabe-boyfriend Hyun (the sit-com idol Kim Beom), and the teachers, uptight English teacher So-young (Yoon Jeong-hee, TV's Happy Woman) and popular Korean instructor Chang-wook (Lee Beom-soo, City of Violence) find themselves stuck inside the school. Somebody is kidnapping students one by one, in the order of their midterm score ranks, and killing them. The gruesome ways in which they die are broadcast via the school AV system: the only way to prevent the hideous murders is to find correct solutions to the culprit's "exam questions" in time.
